All-Time High
The highest price an asset has ever reached, as recorded by a given source.
An all-time high, or ATH, is the highest price an asset has ever reached according to a given data source's recorded history.
An asset's price relative to its all-time high is sometimes used as a reference point in discussion, though it says nothing on its own about future performance.
Examples
- An asset trading well below its all-time high is sometimes described that way in market commentary.
- Different data sources can show slightly different all-time high figures depending on what they track.
