A block explorer is a website that lets anyone search and view a blockchain's public data — transactions, blocks, addresses, and (for smart-contract networks) verified contract code.
It's a genuinely useful tool for independently verifying a transaction's actual status, rather than relying solely on what a wallet interface reports.
