Decentralized Storage
A data storage system spread across many independent nodes rather than one central server.
Decentralized storage spreads data across many independent nodes rather than storing it on a single company's centralized servers, generally intended to improve censorship resistance and reduce reliance on any single storage provider.
It's commonly used to store NFT metadata and images, since storing that data directly on-chain would generally be prohibitively expensive.
