Liquid Restaking Token
A tradeable token representing a position that is both staked and restaked.
A liquid restaking token (LRT) represents a position that has been both staked on a base network and restaked to secure an additional protocol, while remaining tradeable — combining liquid staking's tradeability with restaking's additional yield and additional risk.
Holding an LRT means being exposed to the base network's staking risk plus every additional protocol the underlying position restakes into.
Examples
- An LRT can be traded or used in other DeFi protocols while the underlying position remains staked and restaked.
- An LRT's risk compounds across every protocol its underlying position is restaked into.
