Slashing Condition
A specific type of validator misbehavior that triggers a stake penalty.
A slashing condition is a specific, protocol-defined type of validator misbehavior — such as double-signing conflicting blocks or extended downtime — that triggers an automatic penalty destroying a portion of that validator's (and their delegators') staked funds.
Different networks define different slashing conditions and penalty severities, generally reserving the harshest penalties for behavior that could directly threaten network security.
