Stratum Protocol
A communication protocol used by miners to coordinate work with a mining pool.
The Stratum protocol is a communication standard that lets individual mining hardware efficiently receive work assignments from, and submit found solutions to, a mining pool's server.
It's a foundational piece of infrastructure behind how pooled mining coordinates work across many independent miners.
