Trading Pair
Two assets quoted against each other, showing how much of one buys the other.
A trading pair shows two assets quoted against one another, indicating how much of one asset it takes to acquire a unit of the other on a given exchange.
Not every asset is directly tradable against every other asset; available trading pairs depend on what a specific exchange or protocol supports.
Examples
- A BTC/USD trading pair shows the price of Bitcoin quoted in US dollars.
- Trading between two less common assets might require routing through a more widely available pair first.
