Crypto ROI Calculator
Calculate absolute and percentage returns from an initial crypto investment and its final value.
What this tool does
Measure the change between an initial investment and a final or current value.
Assumptions
Results use only the values you enter. They are estimates for education and planning, not investment advice or live market data.
How it's calculated
- Absolute return = final value − initial investment
- ROI (%) = absolute return ÷ initial investment × 100
Worked example
- Initial investment: $2,000
- Final value: $2,600
Result: Absolute return $600.00; ROI 30%
Computed with this calculator's own formula.
How to read the result
ROI tells you how much a position gained or lost relative to what you put in. It says nothing about how long that took — a 30% return over one month and over five years produce the same ROI — so compare investments over similar periods, or use an annualised measure such as CAGR.
Limitations
- Fees, taxes, and funding costs aren't deducted unless you include them in the values you enter.
- It ignores timing and any money added or withdrawn along the way.
